Capacity
The product range is continuing to expand - current modules have capacity of 2000, 6500 and 8000 litres per day, and customised designs can be provided.
Media
Proprietary textile media is the key, with the following variables specified:
- surface area to volume ratio
- water retention capacity
- air permeability
- void volume
- bubble point pore size
Controls
Options of simple analogue timer dosing and float controls, or proprietary microprocessor based controls with telemetry.
Denitrification (the process to remove nitrogen from wastewater)
This option is available via a microprocessor controlled unit - 70% denitrification expected.
Improvements over other/prior Textile Systems:
- Larger septic tank and recirculation tank capacity providing better peak flow modulation and more consistent effluent quality
- Lower loading rate which means better effluent quality and longer life.
- Avoids poor treatment of peak loads by:
- Larger recirculation tank provides greater dilution of peak inflow.
- Never allows 100% discharge without full recirculation
- Peak load biomass buildup cannot slough off and block irrigation pipes.
- Over 24 hours emergency storage without reducing septic tank capacity.
- Simple filter on septic tank discharge avoids the need for heavy screened vault pump with OSH lifting constraints
